About Wesley UMC
According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus commanded his followers: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you" (28:19-20). This is known as the "Great Commission" to followers of Christ all over the world. Following in the footsteps of this commission, the United Methodist Church (Wesley UMC included) exists with this purpose: "The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."
A short statement of our beliefs, the Apostles' Creed is recited by methodists everywhere.
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Wesley UMC has over 400 brothers and sisters in Christ from the English, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Chinese, and Spanish ministries. These numbers reflect the attendance on Sunday worship services and the Chinese Saturday worship service. Our mission is to become a center of worship in our community and our goal is to have 1000 members by the year 2015.

At Wesley, we have many fellowship groups. You are welcome to join them, strengthen your faith and at the same time make friends and have fun! Our fellowship gatherings include many activities, including food, potlucks, singing praises, Bible study, sharing, and more. Occasionally we also change our fellowship settings by gathering in public beaches, parks, and at each other's homes.
On Sundays at Wesley, there are many Vietnamese Sunday school groups based on ages. The method of learning is by topic and by character. This is a great program to invest your time in to get a firm grasp on what the Lord wants to say. Sunday school starts at 9:30 am.

We also have a Children's Ministry program if you plan to bring your children on Sundays. The children will sing, work on crafts, and learn God's word in one of several groups based on ages. Periodically, we throw music concerts and outdoor activities for the children.
